CANADIAN TIMBER WOLF, 20” x 30”
The timber wolf or gray wolf (Canis lupus) is the largest carnivore in the Canidae family. They are native to the wilderness and remote areas of North American and Eurasia. I wanted this painting to have a barren crisp cold/blue atmosphere in contrast to the healthy wolf that has to work hard for food in the frozen north of Canada.
