ROCKY MOUNTAIN LAKE, 36” x 66”, 2009
The Rocky Mountains stretch more than 3,000 miles (4,800 km) from the northernmost part of British Columbia, in western Canada, to New Mexico, in the southwestern United States. The painting shows a tranquil lake with the sun illuminating one of the bays. The painting is done in the style of Albert Bierstadt, an American painter best known for his lavish, sweeping landscapes of the American West.
