WALKER’S POINT LOONS, 17” x 38” 1991
The majestic loon makes its summer home on northern lakes where it is seen gliding across the mirror smooth waters at Walkers Point on Lake Muskoka tending its chick. Often disappearing under the water only to reappear halfway across the bay. The loon is the symbol of wilderness lake country in Canada and is a favorite of photographers and painters alike. Again, I love painting the surface of the water, almost rendering an abstract quality to the painting.
