WALKER’S POINT LOONS, 17” x 38” 1991
The majestic loons make their summer home on northern lakes where they can be seen gliding across the mirror smooth waters at Walkers Point on Lake Muskoka.. They often disappear under the water, only to reappear halfway across the bay. The loon is the symbol of wilderness lake country in Canada and is a favorite of photographers and painters alike. Again, I love painting the surface of the water, almost rendering an abstract quality to the painting.
